After sharpening their sound on a duet of demos and adding singer Jander and bassist Sveinn, Nagelfar recorded their first base full-length record album, Hünengrab Im Herbst, in 1997, with hometown hero Andy Classen of Holy Moses famous person playacting as producer. This, along with its 1999 follow-up, Strontgorrth, showcased the band's uncompromising brand of larger-than-life, German-sung dark metal in all its misanthropical extremis, and the latter too introduced new members Zingultus (vocals) and Chaos (bass) to the squad. Nagelfar later signed with indie label Ars Metalli for the 2001 vent of their third and, as it turned out, terminal record album, Virus West, after which they quietly trenchant to go their forking ways. |

MSM Remain At High Risk For HIV; Official Data Lacking, Report Finds

Government and global health agencies receive failed to adequately turn to the HIV/AIDS epidemic among men wHO have sex with work force, according to a report by the American Foundation for AIDS Research released Monday at the XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City, Reuters reports. Although the disease has come to affect women and children as well, the researchers said MSM -- the demographic originally most at risk of HIV/AIDS -- remains at highest risk of infection of infection. According to the paper, research has found that MSM ar 19 times more likely to be living with HIV than the general population, so far they ar ignored in many countries.
Based on data from 128 countries submitted to UNAIDS, the report also found that 44% of countries failed to provide any information on MSM. According to the composition, despite a unanimous commitment that all United Nations member countries made in 2001 to monitor HIV among high-risk groups, 71% of countries said they did not have whatever information on the portion of MSM contacted by HIV prevention groups. According to the report, Benin, Ghana, Jamaica, Kenya and Thailand ar the countries with the highest reported HIV prevalence rates among MSM. Although data were scarce, the study constitute MSM were 33 times more likely to be living with HIV than the general population in Latin America, 18 multiplication more likely in Asia and at least quaternity times more likely in Africa.
AmfAR CEO Kevin Frost said the failure of the Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the World Bank and other world-wide health organizations to allocate "significant resources toward reducing HIV rates among MSM is indefensible." Frost added, "These organizations have policies on women, drug users, migration -- but not one of them has a comprehensive policy on MSM." Joe Chan of AIDS Concern in Hong Kong aforesaid some new cases of HIV/AIDS among MSM were occurring even after they had undergone repeated HIV tests, and counseling. "These are clients who have undergone perennial tests and we discover that they are silent engaging in unsafe sexual behavior," Chan said (Lyn, Reuters, 8/5).

Craig Is Next Victim Of Bond Curse
The curse on the new James Bond film Quantum Of Solace has claimed another victim - 007 star Daniel Craig has sliced off the top of his finger during an action sequence. The production of the film has been marred by accidents - including a car crash which left one crewmember critically injured - causing gossips to conclude the movie is jinxed. Production had to be halted in April when a stuntman suffered serious head injuries after losing control of a vehicle and slamming into a wall in northern Italy. This followed yet another mishap when an Aston Martin sports car had to be fished out of Lake Garda, Italy after it skidded off a narrow road in torrential rain and plunged into the water. An outdoor James Bond set was also damaged at the weekend (07-08Jun08) when a fire broke out at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. And now Craig has suffered the latest misfortune - the actor was admitted to hospital on Tuesday after cutting his finger. A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mail, "There was quite a lot of blood and it was decided he needed to go to hospital for emergency treatment. Some people are beginning to believe the production is jinxed." The accident comes just one week after Craig's face was sliced open while filming a scene - requiring eight stitches.
